Founder + Operations
Morgan has the skills to see your dreamy vision and help it come to life. She has a knack for creating user friendly off-grid electrical systems that will help you truly enjoy your time on the road.
Prior to Joule Adventures Morgan worked as an Organizational Psychologist helping teams manage remote employees. She finds joy in helping others step through the hurdles to getting out on the road, living sustainably, and finding their adventure!
When she isn’t managing the day-to-day operations of Joule you can find her out on the hiking trails, gardening, or on the river.

Co-Founder & Lead Technician
With a professional background in aerial 3D mapping and a continuing joy for all things scientific, Ira is our lead system designer and installer. Combining his experience from previous scientific endeavors with his years on the road in a variety of vans, Ira provides a fresh take on any electrical needs to provide the safest, simplest solution to your system desire.
When not tinkering with wires, Ira spends as much time as possible on rivers throughout the Northwest in kayaks, rafts, and floaties!

Named after a geologic layer in the Grand Canyon, Tapeats is happiest when outside adventuring with the fam! He manages the team by making sure we take plenty of breaks to take him on walks, throw a stick, or snuggle up in the van bed.

Our Story
We are Morgan and Ira, the owners of Joule Adventures! While you will find us constantly collaborating on projects, Morgan leads our business operations and Ira leads our system design and installations.
We have been living on and off the road since 2015. We started traveling together in our 2000 Ford Econoline, Charlene. While Charlene had a battery and a small A/C inverter, it was a poorly put together system that caused us a lot of headaches. We have lost all of our food after a battery malfunction, dropped conference calls, and sat with our van dead at a trailhead. We wish these headaches on no one, ever! Every road traveler deserves to feel like their electrical system is reliable!
It is through constantly troubleshooting, updating, and designing camper electrical systems, along with becoming certified and trained installers for EXPLORIST.life and Victron Energy, that we have become experts in camper electrical systems. Because of our robust electrical system, we have been able to continue our adventures on the road while staying connected for work over the past many years. And now we work to bring fellow road travelers the joy of exploring with a reliable electrical system!
We reside in the beautiful town of Blue River, Oregon which is tucked along the McKenzie River in between Eugene and Bend. Our van adventures have shaped us in many ways including leading us to our beautiful property. The power of an adventure is always life changing.
